Mint Authority Revoked
August 2025 — In a bold, community-first move, the BUDYZ project has officially revoked the mint authority of its $BUDYZ token, locking the supply at a fixed 5,000,000,000 tokens. This milestone eliminates the possibility of future token creation, reinforcing the project’s core values of scarcity, fairness, and decentralization.
The $BUDYZ token was minted through 20Labs, a trusted Solana-based platform known for its security and transparency in token creation. This choice ensured a clean, verifiable launch and laid the foundation for a credible long-term ecosystem.
By revoking mint authority, BUDYZ guarantees that no party—including the project team—can mint additional tokens. This safeguard protects holders, strengthens trust, and enhances the token’s long-term stability.
“This is more than just a technical step—it’s a statement of principle. By choosing 20Labs for token creation and permanently revoking mint authority, we’ve removed uncertainty and placed transparency at the core of BUDYZ,” said the BUDYZ team.
As part of this initiative, the project also executed a strategic reallocation of supply. 5% of the total tokens—originally split between the team and reserve fund—were redirected to double the allocation for The BUDYZ Foundation to 10%, ensuring stronger support for animal welfare initiatives and real-world impact.

As the project enters its next phase, including NFT campaigns, community airdrops, and a DEX listing later this year, this supply lock serves as a foundational step toward a sustainable and trusted token economy.
